Canberra
Canberra is the national capital of Australia.
The city is located within the Australian Capital Territory, which itself
is a 910 square mile (2,358 km2) enclave in New South Wales.
The city is the largest inland city in Australia, was
was selected as the location for the nation's capital in
1908
as a compromise between Sydney and Melbourne.
The city was entirely purpose built and constructed commenced in
1913.
Today, Canberra is the seat of government for Australia,
and thus is home to Parliament House, the High Court of Australia, and
many government departments.
